I have had these pictures on my phone for over a year now.  I really meant to put them up right away. But life happened.  So now I am looking at these pictures of  my child and her friends and remembering how super small they were when we visited Niemietz!  This awesome park is just off 78, but you may not even notice it when you drive by.  We had all been enjoying some coffee at Emily's Place and no one felt like heading back home, so we took a quick drive down the road to Niemietz.  There's a lot going on at this park, but our two year olds were only concerned with the playground. 

Here is the main playscape from a few different angles.  It is very toddler friendly, and partially shaded by a tree. It's probably not very exciting for school aged kids.

There are a few bouncy, ride-on things. 

And these interesting structures to climb.  These were a little too challenging for our group, but look like a lot of fun for kids who are older.

 This part also was a little too challenging for the toddlers, but preschoolers and school aged kids would enjoy rock wall, stepping stones, and the climbing rungs.

There are sling swings, a bucket swing, and one accessible swing.

And a stand alone slide!

This was a really short tunnel to nowhere and I believe there were some drums or something else slightly musical also attached to this part of the playground. 

Woodland Oaks Park

Location: Grove Park, Schertz, TX 78154

We really enjoyed our visit to Woodland Oaks Park.  It was formerly a neighborhood park, but is now a Schertz park.  There is no parking lot, just street parking on Grove Park.  There's plenty of shade from the trees.  The play structure is small but fun for toddlers and preschoolers, and there is plenty of open space for running and kicking a soccer ball.  The only thing I didn't like about this park is that it is right off Woodland Oaks, which can get pretty busy.  Keep a close eye on kids that might run into the road after a ball.  There is also a basketball court, and sling swings as well as bucket swings.

Stage Stop Park

Location: 9374 Valhalla, Selma, TX 78154

Stage Stop Park is a fun park for all ages.  There are two playgrounds; one is sunny and has a larger structure that contains some small slides for toddlers and a more challenging section for older children, and the other is shaded and smaller.  My two year old loves both, but the shaded structure may not be as exciting for older kids.  Both playgrounds have bucket swings and sling swings.  The sunny playground also has accessible swings (not pictured) and a ramp on the larger structure (but none of the slides are accessible by ramp).

 It has a balance beam and monkey bars, which is a nice addition.

 Here's the shaded play structure. It is pretty toddler friendly since there are fewer openings to fall off of, but the first step is VERY high above the ground, so smaller toddlers may need a boost.

Bucket swings by the large structure. I really like that this park has sets of swings in both playgrounds.  In the distance you can kind of see the pavilion.
